In partnership with investor, philanthropist, and entrepreneur Robert F. Smith, Grameen America opened new branches in Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL to expand our reach and support more entrepreneurial women. Operations began in Atlanta in June 2022, with Birmingham following as part of our shared commitment to advancing economic mobility for underserved communities. 

To help bridge disproportionate gaps in financial opportunity and authentically reach business owners in the community, these new branches focus on programmatic solutions and local partnerships to improve members’ business income, credit scores, personal savings, and material hardship outcomes.
